Two numbers decide whether a CSA season works. The first is what a box costs you to fill once fixed costs and pack labor are counted, because that is what the share price has to clear. The second is how many crew hours the harvest morning actually consumes, because that is the number that turns a good crop plan into a pack out that finishes at two in the afternoon with the cooler door still open.
Neither number is hard math, and both are guessed at far more often than they are calculated. The calculators below ask for figures you can pull from a season budget and a harvest day log, then show the result immediately with realistic defaults already loaded. Change one input at a time and watch what moves. That is usually more useful than the final figure itself.

Why both calculators are open with no account
Neither tool asks for an email, a farm name, or a card. The arithmetic behind them is the arithmetic a CSA grower already does on the back of a seed order: fixed costs divided across delivery weeks, crew minutes multiplied by the boxes going out on Thursday, item pulls counted crop line by crop line until the harvest morning finally has a number attached to it. Most farms do that sum once in February, in pencil, and never check it again. Nobody should have to trade an address to run it properly.
They are worth something on their own, with no software behind them at all. Run the break even figure before the seed order goes in and you know how many shares your fixed costs need before you promise anyone a twenty two week season. Run the crew hours with your peak week box and you know whether a tenth crop line pushes the pack out past the moment the first member reaches the pickup table.
